God, where are you? I am still waiting.

God's promises were written and are true, but they require a partnership in order to see them manifest in our lives. Today, around the world, people are asking, "God, where are you?  I am crying, praying and waiting and I don't see or hear you."  The silence doesn't mean He isn't speaking or working in our lives. It may mean we are not listening or we are not obeying the Spirit's leading. Likewise, no answer is not a denial of what we are asking. It may mean we are seeking something out of season (not the right time).

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven--
A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.…

Ecclesiastes 3:17
I said to myself, "God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed."

Ecclesiastes 8:6
For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.

Hebrews 6:12 tells us that it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises. In waiting and giving our troubles to God, we go through a process learning to live in God's timing and praying for His will to be reveal and done in our lives. Once you see the hand of God work this way, we can go through anything and know that God has you in the palm of His hand. Likewise, you will not be moved by the situation in the natural, because you know God is working in the spiritual or supernatural to bring you through the fire without even a smell of smoke.

The process of sanctification causes us to continually grow and rethink (undo) everything we have learned from the world or even our families. We are steeped in traditions (family and religious) and laws of the land (political correctness) that causes us to miss Jesus daily. If you are relying on trinkets, holding on to new age premises, ritualistic prayers and 7 steps to success; you might be missing God and continuing to go around the same mountain again and again. This process of sanctification allows us to be pruned for a greater good and to be conformed into the image of Christ. While going through fears of job loss, trials of illness or attacks on our character, we either decide to give it to God (prayer, praise and submission of our will to His will) or we can strive against the process that will bring us out on the other side pruned with new growth. If he allowed it, then there is lesson to be learned or knowledge to gain from the situation.

Peace and joy in the midst of trouble is a sign you have grown in faith that God is Jehovah Jireh (your provider).  And, if He is your provider, all things work together for your good. The word of God says, And we know that in all things [every circumstance and situation He allows] God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). Nothing happening to us is a surprise to God. Everything and everybody, including Satan, submits to the will of the Father in Heaven.

Father God, give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation to fully understand and know Your way, will and works in our lives. We are surrounded by people and situations that fight against our nature and individual spirits to just believe. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, move in me and recreate me. God of second chances and then some, allow me to live by Your Spirit's promptings so that I am able to see that Your word is sharper than any two-edge sword and able to cut through the traditions and works of the world to get to Your truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
