Although I did not watch all of the 57th Grammy Awards, I saw the performance by Pharrell Williams. While most of the world watched and probably thought what in the world is that all about? I watched in awe of someone who the Spirit led to do something out of the ordinary by using his platform to show himself lower than God, as well as praise God for all that is and is to come in and through his life.
The message was clear that nothing can bring him down. When you serve a God who sits high above all with the earth as His footstool (Acts 7:49 and Isaiah 66:1); there is nothing or no one who can bring you down. What God intends for him, no man can take it away. God is in control - even in control of our enemies and He works it all (good and bad) out for our good (Romans 8:28) It's all about who you serve.
For the people who serve their titles, wealth, cars, clothes, country clubs and make vows and pledges to various groups (sororities, fraternities, masons and eastern stars); you could never understand why a grammy winning artist would come on stage dressed as a page boy.... a mere servant to the people. It also means you don't understand how Jesus would came to seek and save the lost ( Luke 19:10) or wash the feet of the people who called Him Master and Teacher (John 13: 1-17).

Malachi 3:17-18 They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
Luke 22:27 For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves.
Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
When a man honors God by lowering himself in the public, we must also give thanks to a God and the Holy Spirit for wisdom and revelation. Pharrell's artistry was also a story that unfolded a lot that happened in the world last year and it included the voices and faces of people from around the world.
For it is written....
And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. Revelation 5:9
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. Revelation 7:9
