Wow!! What a week! I am absolutely exhausted. I was invited to two interviews for promotions. I prayed for the will of God, as well as for the answers to all the questions. I did a great job it doesn't matter if I get a job offer or not. My prayer now is for God to close the doors if these positions are not His will for my life.
I can remember a time when a promotion would have been a dream comes true. Who would not like more money and more opportunity to move up? Now, I just want to succeed in the will of God. My whole family has been praying, even my babies. It is quite funny when I think about it - little tiny hands holding ours praying for the will of God. We all want to be successful in life, but to what extent would you sacrifice your family or the will of God for more money or a new, big title?
I have now officially adopted Joyce Meyers say, "New level, New Devil". So, I proceed cautiously through life. When temptations that include more money and new titles come along my way, I submit it to the Lordship of Christ and act in faith that the Lord's will, will prevail over any temptation. That kind of thinking would never have come into my head as the "old me", but time heals, grows and restores life to through prayer.
The Bible says that you have a covenant of peace with God (Isaiah 54:10; Ezekiel 34:25; 37:26). God's perfect will is that you excel in every area of life. In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am in covenant with God. I have the peace of God; therefore, I am whole in every area. There is nothing missing or broken in my life. I am empowered by God to succeed in everything that I do. I am prosperous and equipped to fulfill His perfect will for my life!

p.s. I said no to the promotion because it would require a move. I don’t think moving is God’s will for my life right now. So, my promotion will have to be heaven sent. I have found my new assignment in this new place I have landed at work through a restructure. Timing is everything.
