In these times.... we need Spiritual Revival

In these times, we must not forget why we, as humans, were placed on this earth. Our need to belong is strong, but we may have to help others feel belonged to also. Not everyone is a strong as you are and some of us still need a nudge of encouragement to get us through the day.

In these times, we must not forget that to always be prepared for change and conflict. The two sometimes go hand and hand and most often the slightest change can cause the worst conflict.

In these times, although the days may see long; the time is short. The signs in the skies are there and the movement under the earth cries out in distress from the pressure.

In these times, right in our very midst, are natural and supernatural happenings. If only we see the way Elijah saw the host of heavenly armies atop of the mountain sent to fight on his behalf. What a glorious sight it must have been!

In these times, we must not hold back the love and attention our children need. There will come a time when they won't want it as often and you will long for the tiny arms and fingers to touch your face and hold on to your neck.

How glorious the day will be when cofusion, strife and pain does not exsist. Until then, we must continue on this pilgrimage AND make it to the next destination OR divine assignment.

Sir Francis Drake was the first Englishman to circumnavigate the globe. In 1581 he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I for this accomplishment. His poem inspires and challenges us to dream big, to sail out beyond the safety of the shore, and live boldly for God.

Prayer for Spiritual Revival

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we have dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wider seas
