What do you do when life happens?

Life happens every day.  There are good days and bad days.  There are days when we wish we could just sleep to avoid people, places or things that just happen.  Because life happens, I feel like we must always be ready to fight. We have to fight for peace, love and happiness.  Nothing comes easily and life is one of those things that will always  have hills and valleys.  So, why not get up and declare the day blessed and fight your way through it?

I was reminded of Matthew 11:12 which says, "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force".  It stirs me to want to take back everything the enemy has stolen from me.  The enemy being Satan and his forces of darkness that constantly tries to drag us down mentally, emotionally and physically.  Joyce Meyers is so true, "The Battlefield is in the Mind".  We can win, if we fight. Fight as if your life depends on it and make sure you wake up with the fighting mentality every day.

God is good, even in the midst of the bad things. When traffic was so bad during the Democratic National Convention, I thanked God that the traffic was protecting me from some unseen advances by Satan to keep me down.  I found a reason to praise God in the midst of the frustration.  Mr. Obama, thank you for coming to Charlotte.  For a week, there was so much tension and camaraderie in the air, you could almost taste it.  People were alive, even if some were happy or mad.

One thing we have in the country is the urge to fight.  We been fighting forever.  We fight each other daily, but Lord help the poor souls that invade and try to fight us.  It reminds me of a dysfunctional family.  We fight each other, but no one else better try to fight us.  Thank you America!  Thank you for coming together when we need to and for standing firm when we have too.  Can we do it more often?  We are, you  know, one big melting pot of a dysfunctional family.

Father God, we know you are with us and we continually say God Bless America!  We know that your son Jesus died for us and we praise you with the biggest, loudest Hallelujah right now.  Protect and Guide our leaders, especially our President and his cabinet. May we all see the call to duty daily to represent this land the way you need us to for your will, plan and purpose. In Jesus Name I Pray and Give Thanks, Amen! Amen!
